FAQ’s

How long will it last?

Over time you will notice your teeth staining again, for the same reason that caused the teeth to discolor in the first place.  Although results may last up to 2 years,  results will vary widely depending on the client’s lifestyle.  Clients who smoke cigarettes or drink heavy quantities of dark, acidic liquids like coffee, tea, red wine, colas, etc. will have to touch up their teeth more often.

Will fillings and crowns be affected by the whitening?

While peroxide will have no negative effect on the integrity of fillings or crowns, the simple fact is that these materials will not whiten in any type of bleaching procedure.  However, the process will remove stains from the composite material thus returning them to their original shade.

Are there any adverse side effects?

A very small percentage of clients may experience some sensitivity during a whitening procedure.  The discomfort typically goes away within 24 hours after discontinuing the whitening or by decreasing the amount of time per session.
